The Fall River Public Library will host a city harmonica player for a free concert this Thursday evening.

On Thursday, May 14th, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., the Fall River Public Library will host Fall River singer and harmonica player Professor Harp and his band for a free, all-ages blues concert. Professor Harp (a.k.a Hugh Holmes Jr.) is a Fall River resident who has been playing at clubs in the greater Boston area since the 1970s. In 2025, Professor Harp was inducted into the New England Music Hall of Fame. The concert will take place on the library lawn, or in the event of inclement weather, in the meeting room.
