Halloween will make an early stop at the Fall River Public Library on Thursday, October 22, as the library presents “A Journey Through the Haunted Library”, where ghosts, ghouls, and other creatures of the night roam its hallowed halls! This supernatural sojourn will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event is recommended for brave souls ages 6 to adult.

The library will close to the public at 3:00 p.m. on that day and re-open to the public at 6:00 p.m. totally transformed in the spirit of the season, with 10 terrifying rooms featuring creepy displays! Guests will travel through haunted corn fields, visit the alien-infested “Area 52” and drop in at the “Zombie Café”, among other spooky exhibits! Patrons will also come face-to-face with “Sasha”, the 10-foot long black widow spider now taking up residence in the library’s main lobby!

All those wishing to participate in the haunted walk-through should enter through the library’s main entrance at 104 N. Main Street. Visitors who use wheelchairs or may require special assistance, may enter through the Elm Street entrance. The library Meeting Room will also be open to children who may not want to participate in the walk-through, there will be crafts and coloring sheets for them to enjoy.
