STATE ELECTION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Saturday, October 24, by 5:00 pm. The Elections Department will be open on October 24 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for anyone who wishes to register. You can also register online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office. You can also check your registration status online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office.
EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING: Early in-person voting for the State Primary will take place from Saturday, October 17 through Friday, October 30. Voting will be held in the Atrium at Government Center. Weekend hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Weekday hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
MAIL BALLOTS: Deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Tuesday, October 27, by 5:00 pm. You can apply for a mail ballot online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office. All mail ballots must be received in the Elections Department by Tuesday, November 3, at 8:00 pm.
STATE ELECTION DAY (NOVEMBER 3): Polls in Fall River open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm.
