Bristol Community College will host its 2026 Commencement Exercises this Saturday morning at 11: 00 am at the Fall River Campus on Elsbree Street.
Over 1,000 students are receiving Associate Degrees or certificates.
This year’s class Valedictorian is Business Administration major Elizabeth Anne Pereria of Acushnet, and its Salutatorian is Elizabeth Dvorsky of Portsmouth, RI. This year’s Honorary Degree recipient is former UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Dr. Jean MacCormack. Distinguished Citizens Awards will be presented to New Bedford natives Robert Mendes Sr. and Steve Pemberton.
The 2026 ceremony will also mark the awarding of Associate Degrees to 20 high school seniors from the Argosy Collegiate Charter School who were enrolled in the college’s Dual Enrollment program.
This will be Dr. Harris’ second commencement as President, having assumed the role in March of 2025. During his 14 months on the job, he says he remains impressed by the college’s steadfast dedication to student success.
