June is Pride Month, and the Fall River Pride Committee has once again assembled a slate of activities this season.
The pride flag was raised Friday at Government Center, and the seventh annual Pride Festival will take place Sunday at the Gates of the City with the theme of louder than ever.
Connell says this year’s festival is also larger than ever.
The committee will also sponsor a junior pride prom on June 12th from 6 pm to 9 pm at Greater Fall River RECREATION, a 21+ pride night on June 26, and its first community picnic June 28th at the Church of the Holy Spirit. The celebrations conclude July 18th with a community recognition ceremony held at The Cultural Center on South Main Street…
At that event, the committee will award three $500 scholarships to deserving students attending Bristol Community College, UMass Dartmouth, and Bridgewater State University.
