Incumbent Mayor Paul Coogan and City Council President Cliff Ponte were the top two vote-getters in yesterday’s Fall River Preliminary Election and will square off in the race for mayor on November 2.
Just over 12% of the city’s 51,640 registered voters cast ballots in yesterday’s election. Here is the order of finish:
- Paul Coogan: 3,893
- Cliff Ponte: 2,118
- Jonathan Albernaz: 133
- Michael Vandal: 50
