CSS OFFERING ‘GIVE BACK’ FRIDAYS

FALL RIVER — Catholic Social Services or CSS is hosting a series of ‘Give Back’ Fridays over the next few weeks in locations across the Fall River Diocese.

Susan Mazzarella, who is CSS Chief Executive Officer, explains that generous donors over the years have given items to help families in need and bring smiles to children.

“Catholic Social Services has been graced with such displays of generosity, particularly during this COVID pandemic, that we want to give back,” she said.

CSS is partnering with certain parishes and will make items available to families with children of all ages in its ‘Give Back’ Fridays. On the designated day, location and time, CSS will have brand new toys and games for children of all ages, as well as new clothing and coats for infants and children from newborn and up. All are welcome and registration to participate is not required.

‘Give Back’ Fridays are scheduled as follows: Sept. 17, St. Anthony Church, 126 School St., Taunton, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; Sept. 24, St. Lawrence Church, 565 County St., New Bedford, 9 a.m. to 12 noon; October 1, Good Shepherd Church, 1598 South Main St., Fall River, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.; and October 8, St. Francis Xavier Church, 347 South St., Hyannis, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

CSS encourages any family or individual in need to contact them at 508-674-4681. The agency offers help with basic needs, housing issues, legal assistance, and much more in line with its mission “to serve, to change lives, and to make a difference.”
