Fall River and Battleship Cove this week played host to a special American flag as part of America’s 250th birthday.
Flag Sojourn 250 is a program that involves a single American flag being flown in every state, territory, and military cemetery, ending in Washington, D.C., on July 4.
The flag was flown for a ceremony Monday at Battleship Cove organized by Bristol County Sheriff Paul Heroux.
The ceremony included a lesson on the history and meaning of the American flag presented by David King, of the Harvard Kennedy School.
