Students at the Argosy Collegiate Charter School begin the new academic year next Wednesday, August 26th. Executive Director Sunil Jagannath says this year’s enrollment is the highest it’s been in the 6th-through-12th-grade school’s 13-year history.
Mr. Jagganath says city residents are fortunate to have a choice of public education options, with Argosy focusing on all high school graduates earning college experience and credits.
20 graduates of the class of 2026 received their high school diplomas and associate degrees from Bristol Community College. Mr. Jagganath expects a third of the class of 2027 will also do so.
The success of Argosy is often reflected in the over 90 percent support from parents who view the school as a good fit for their children.
In the coming year, students will be introduced to a new curriculum, and plans will begin for designing a new gymnasium for the middle school.
