Fall River Police Chief Albert Dupere resigned last week and will soon serve in the post of deputy chief. Mayor Paul Coogan says the city is moving swiftly to find a new head for the department.
Mayor Coogan is expected to appoint Deputy Chief Charles Cullen as acting chief early next week.
