The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) today opened three bids to develop the 20 acres of land on the reconstructed Route 79/Davol Street corridor on Fall River’s waterfront.
The bidders and their starting negotiating price for the land are:
- The Cordiero Group– Fall River developer Anthony Cordeiro’s company submitted a bid of $10,340,000
- Michaels Development Corporation– This national developer, with two projects in Massachusetts, submitted a bid of $15,220,000
- Mark Development/Wood Partners– These Massachusetts-based builders have developed multiple properties in Greater Boston and submitted a bid of $13,968,000
According to its initial timeline, MassDOT will examine each proposal and will announce its designated developer within the next few weeks.
