STATE PRIMARY INFORMATION
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Saturday, August 22, by 5:00 pm. The Elections Department will be open on August 22 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for anyone who wishes to register. You can also register online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office. You can also check your registration status online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office.
EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING: Early in-person voting for the State Primary will take place from Saturday, August 22 through Friday, August 28. Voting will be held in the Atrium at Government Center. Weekend hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Weekday hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
MAIL BALLOTS: Deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Tuesday, August 25, by 5:00 pm. You can apply for a mail ballot online through the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office. All mail ballots must be received in the Elections Department by Tuesday, September 1, at 8:00 pm.
PRIMARY ELECTION DAY (SEPTEMBER 1): Polls in Fall River open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm.
